Chris Busby: "orgy" of atomic weapons testing

Busby refers to an "orgy" of atomic weapons testing.

Busby referred (on Alex Jones ‘InfoWars’ show – linked to in a thread below) to an “orgy” of atomic weapons testing in the 1950s and/or 1960s.

I think Busby was arguing (if I understood him correctly) that that episode lead to a massive increase globally in the background radiation level, and that is why, since then, it has become increasingly difficult (globally) to have babies, e.g. due to ever-declining sperm counts.

These are amazing statements.

I’m vaguely aware of nuclear weapons testing, but I thought that was largely an underground exercise and therefore largely non-hazardous to us.

What is the “orgy” Busby refers to? Can anyone point to any books/articles about that?

Thanks.

I know in Australia Britain conducted several atomic detonations in South Australia. They were above ground, massive, and spread clouds of radiation across the country. Aborigines who lived in the area were not adequately warned and subsequently many suffered from radiation poisoning. I'd bet there were many close enough to die pretty quick, such has been the australian attitude to Aborigines.

Many servicemen and women have also died since from cancers linked to the tests.

There were just over 500 above ground tests up to 1980

From film director Alex Cox's website:

"What can save us from this madness? Probably nothing. Unless there's a chance that ART can pull sane people back from the nuclear brink. Certainly this was the intention of Kubrick with DR. STRANGELOVE and Watkins with THE WAR GAME, back in the days when filmmakers struggled to speak about these things. In the tradition of Kubrick and Watkins, a Japanese artist, Isao Hashimoto, has created an amazing little video which depicts all the officially-recorded nuclear explosions which scarred our lovely planet's surface between 1945 and 2008.

It's an extraordinary piece of work: art with a purpose. It reveals no let-up whatsoever in the pace of nuclear blasts following the Kennedy/Khrushchev Test Ban Treaty; not until the collapse of the Soviet Union, in 1990, did the crazed race slow down. Hashimoto's work - art with a real purpose - documents only the official record (just as I have done in this article). He doesn't include South African, Israeli, or North Korean bomb tests as they are subject to some dispute. Hashimoto's total: 2053 nuclear blasts.".

Here are some links to sites covering nuclear weapons tests:

"that [the] very same day after the press conference, [Van Allen] agreed with the military to get involved with a project to set off atomic bombs in the magnetosphere to see if they could disrupt it."

Conducted as part of Operation Dominic was a series of high altitude tests known as Operation Fishbowl. These tests were Thor missile launched warheads detonated at very high altitudes (30-248 miles) to evaluate the destructive mechanisms and effects of high yield explosions against ballistic missile RVs. Several test failures occurred with missiles being destroyed in flight by range safety officers when electronics failed (Bluegill), when rocket motors malfunctioned (Starfish and Bluegill Prime), or when the missile veered out of control (Bluegill Double Prime). The Bluegill Prime test was particularly disastrous since the missile was blown up while still on the launch pad, requiring complete reconstruction of the demolished and plutonium contaminated Thor launch facility.

The average pace of nuclear weapons testing is remarkable: Since 16 July 1945 there have been 2,044 tests worldwide, the equivalent of one test occurring somewhere in the world every nine days for the last fifty years.

The U.S. has conducted the equivalent of one nuclear weapons test every 17 days since its first test; the Soviet Union has tested on average every 23 days; France every 63 days; Britain every 349 days and; China every 222 days. India has conducted only one test so far.
(...)
Of the 2,044 nuclear weapons tests worldwide, there have been 711 in the atmosphere or underwater: 215 by the U.S., 207 by the Soviet Union, 21 by Britain, 45 by France and, 23 by China.
(...)
It is estimated that the total yield of all the atmospheric nuclear weapons tests conducted is 438 megatons. That's equivalent to 29,200 Hiroshima size bombs. In the 36 years between 1945 and 1980 when atmospheric testing was being conducted this would have been equivalent to exploding a Hiroshima size bomb in the atmosphere every 11 hours.

Fukushima Now 72,000 Times Hiroshima Radiation
3-23-11

Dr. Chris Busby verified today in an email that three spent fuel pools are totally blasted away and burned up. That puts the approximate radiation levels at 24,000 HIROSHIMAS x 3 = 72,000 times the radiation of Hiroshima now in the atmosphere. Remember, this is JUST from the spent fuel pools. Radiation escaping from the reactors is another story altogether.

We have now all had time to evaluate what we believe is the truth behind the Japanese Nuclear Incident (or should I say disaster) and it has become clear that we have all been deceived by the Japanese Authorities, their nuclear establishment, the IAEA, the international pro nuclear groups and more importantly the so called experts that are invited onto the mainstream media channels to blast us with nothing more than total spin. We have heard from nuclear experts from Chatham House (the NWO voice box) and such people as Prof. Gerry Thomas from Imperial College London."

They all keep playing down this disaster without themselves fully understanding the implications on human health and the antiquated testing methods used in the assessment of potential victims. It is only when one listens to such people as Dr. Chris Busby that you get to understand the true picture of the side effects of contamination by ingestion i.e. depleted uranium etc.
